About the Tour


With Back Track Buggy's experienced guides leading the way, you drive your family, friend or partner on a fun 4x4 ATV adventure tour exploring secluded areas of the Tasman National Park and State Forest in south east Tasmania.

Your 4x4 ATV tour takes you along bush tracks winding through eucalypt forest, stopping half way to enjoy an easy 300m walk to Cape Surville lookout.

Your Back Track Buggy tour is approximately 2-2.5 hour's duration, including induction training.

Our Can-am 4x4 ATVs are very safe and easy to drive. We maintain a speed that is comfortable for you.

This is a minimum impact, environmentally friendly eco tour suitable for ages 7 and up.

Frequently Asked Questions

Below is a list of frequently asked questions to help you understand how the tour works.

The tour inclusions are:

  • safe and comfortable ATV
  • First Aid qualified guide to lead the way
  • helmet and wet weather gear for each person
  • all participants receive induction training to learn the features and capabilities of the ATV

Warm clothing is highly recommended. Long pants/trousers and sturdy shoes/boots are required for your safety.

Drivers licence, camera, drinking water, sun screen, hat, sun glasses and a spirit of adventure.

There are no facilities available while on the tour. A restroom is available at the departure point.

This is an all-weather adventure. Refunds or alternate bookings will gladly be given if we need to cancel a tour.

We are conveniently located at Murdunna, between Hobart and Port Arthur. It is approximately 75 minutes drive from Hobart Show Me and 35 minutes from Port Arthur Show Me
